What vaults.cash can and can't do

vaults.cash has no smart contracts of its own and never holds your money. It builds a transaction, shows it to you, and you sign it from your own wallet. Here is exactly where that leaves us.

We can't

Not possible
  • NoMove, withdraw, or freeze your funds. Your wallet signs every transaction; we never have a key to it.
  • NoChange your positions. They are Uniswap v4 position NFTs owned by your wallet, not by vaults.cash.
  • NoUpgrade or pause anything. We deployed no contracts, so there is nothing for us to upgrade, pause, or drain.
  • NoSee your keys. Your wallet is created and secured by Privy; vaults.cash only sees its public address.
  • NoTake a fee you didn't see. The 0.6% fee is one line inside the transaction you review before signing.

We can

What we do
  • YesBuild the transaction for you: convert your dollars, set the price range, and place the position in the official Uniswap pool, all in one step.
  • YesCharge the 0.6% fee inside that step, paid to a published wallet, and split it with whoever invited you.
  • YesPay your network fees on Base.
  • YesMove your dollars between Base and Robinhood Chain through Relay when you ask, to this same wallet.
  • YesAct on your wallet for an AI agent, only if you turn on agent access and only through vaults.cash; you can turn it off any time.
  • ·Change this website, add or remove pools, or stop operating. None of that touches positions you already hold.

If vaults.cash disappeared tomorrow

Nothing happens to your money

Every position is a standard Uniswap v3, Uniswap v4 or Aerodrome position that the exchange's own app can manage. Each position on your Portfolio page has an “Open in Uniswap” link; that page works without us. Your wallet lives with Privy, not with vaults.cash, and you can export its key from the Account page at any time.

Targets auto-close

One open contract

A target closes through a small public contract, LadderCloser, at the same address on Base and Robinhood Chain: 0xcF5b6aCaf67FB8154D84Ae6155f29d7941348Ffc. Anyone can read it, and anyone can call it, but it only works once every rung is fully past the target, and it can only send the proceeds to the rung owner, less the fees on the Disclosures page. Questions we get:

What if vaults.cash goes down?
Anyone can call close once the target has printed, including you, and you can always close a ladder by hand from your own wallet. Nothing depends on our servers being up.
What if the price hits the target and falls back before the close?
The contract has no memory. It closes only if the price is past the target at that moment. If it retraced, the ladder keeps earning and closes on the next cross. Our keeper checks every five minutes.
Can I get out early?
Yes, any time, from the app, with your own signature. The contract can’t stop you.
What can vaults.cash change after the fact?
Only where our fee is sent, and only by the fee wallet proposing a new one that must accept. Fees, rules and behaviour are fixed forever.
What if there’s a bug?
We deploy a fixed version. Existing ladders keep the old one, which still can only pay their owners, and anyone can close by hand. Funds are never trapped by a bug in this contract.
Which pools does it cover?
Plain Uniswap v4 pools, which is every pool the app lists, and standard tokens. It refuses pools with hooks.
What is outside our control?
If a stablecoin issuer ever froze the contract’s address, payouts through it in that token would stall until we deployed a replacement. Your positions would be untouched, and you could still close by hand.

Check it yourself

Public ledger
  • ·Before signing, expand “What you're signing” on the confirm screen. Every step is listed in words, with the contract it goes to and the raw data.
  • ·On Portfolio, open any position in Uniswap or on the block explorer. The owner shown there is your wallet.
  • ·The fee wallet is 0x9e240C29c36F774b919dE6DEbA9162fb0ed11edf: on Robinhood · on Base. Every fee ever charged is visible there.

What can still go wrong

Markets, not custody

Liquidity positions carry price and impermanent-loss risk, Uniswap's own contracts carry smart-contract risk, and stock tokens depend on their issuer. Read the disclosures.
